AN END AND A BEGINNING

So, Dana's doing this post, so I can talk about a few important men in my life. This last weekend the Bishopric was changed in our ward. After 2 1/2 years living up here in Idaho with my Dad as my Bishop, he was released and my good husband was put in as a counselor in our new Bishopric. My kids have loved having Grandpa as their Bishop-it's been a good experience for all of us. And, they're excited to see Dad up on the stand now (we'll see how I feel about it in weeks to come:).
We had an amazing sacrament meeting and the spirit was so strong. But, I had such an amazing experience. As I looked up on the stand on one side of the pulpit and saw my dad emotional, and heard him bear his testimony, I felt sad and happy and excited for him, and I got emotional thinking of my love for him as a daughter...Then, as I looked to the other side of the pulpit and saw my husband very emotional and heard him bear his testimony, I felt happy and excited and nervous for him, and got emotional thinking of my love for him as a wife. I don't think I'll get to have an opportunity like that again with two men that I love so much both sitting on the stand.
How grateful I am for the Gospel and the blessings it brings. I am so grateful for the example of my husband and father in love and service...My life is blessed...

Dana ~ I couldn't agree more. Clyde and Russ are two of the best men I know (next to your Uncle Dave). Remember, I love to hold "squirmy-wormies" during Sacrament Meetings ;-) ~ Love, Aunt Diane

I loved this post...you are so sweet. Dad & Russ are both very well suited for such a calling in the church. We love you guys. Best wishes to the sweet Miss Rachel...she will do great. She amazed me after the first surgery & I'm sure she will again!

I 100% agree with Diane! Your dad is definitely one of my favorite people in the world. I probably think about his great example and friendship every day. Russ, on the other hand, will always be my pumpkin. Just kidding, Russ is awesome and will do an awesome job with Bishop Holland and Brother Cochrane. Congrats on the changes. It looks like you'll be staying in McCall for a while!

LOVE this post, Dana. I agree, the spirit was soooo strong. I will never forget that sacrament meeting and the testimonies given by Bishop Dillon AND Bishop Holland about the powers of revelation. Hubby and I were both bawling. Truly amazing. We love Russ, Andy, & Dave and are happy and excited for all involved!
